Sleepless nights, endless worry, pride beyond measure – all moms can relate to this. Nobody quite prepares you for the rollercoaster that is motherhood. For many moms, they began documenting photos of their children from day 1, with tens of thousands photos to show – but how many do they actually have with their kids?! a couple? maybe some selfies?

With this weekend being Mother’s Day – it’s a time to celebrate the woman who gave you life. It’s recognizing the deep, committed and self-less love mothers have.
Enter Mommy and Me photos – Moms, get yourself some photos with your kids, and I don’t mean those selfies I mentioned earlier, I mean professional, beautiful, candid photos of you and your babies.

It doesn’t matter what you look like, whether your hair is perfect or you were able to (or not) cover those dark circles, even if you haven’t shed those last few pregnancy pounds – You will 100% look back on these photos with complete gratitude. Moms, get in the photos NOW, be in the photos as your children grow up.

I promise, one day, you will look back in awe of this stage. You won’t see the flaws you may be focused on today. You’ll cherish those memories, the connection you had with your children at that time in their lives.
What to wear for a mommy and me session:
- Keep it simple. Something that feels comfortable and doesn’t make you second guess yourself. I love long flowy dresses, they feel feminine, have movement and look great on everyone. If you aren’t a dress person, maybe something more casual like a knit sweater and your favourite jeans or a cute jean jacket!
- Don’t go too matchy-matchy. As long as the colours and patterns compliment each other, or try for one solid outfit and one patterned!
- Layers and accessories are great way to change up looks – a hat or a sweater!

To all the moms out there, Happy Mother’s Day! I hope you find a moment (or two!) for yourself, to do something for you, that you love and fills your cup!
