It was such a pleasure to be part of this New Years Eve wedding! There is just something so magical about getting married on New Years Eve. This wedding started at St. Peters Church in Calgary, with photos taken in and around Downtown Calgary before ending the night and ringing in the New Year at the Hyatt hotel! The perfect locations for a romantic, New Years celebration!
Not only do I love showcasing the love between two people, but I also love to learn their story. Everyone has a story and I love to learn what brought a couple together!
“We technically met on tinder but our sister in law went to nursing school with me. Emilio had asked her about me and she told him he had to ask me out! The rest is history. The funniest part about his whole proposal is the whole car ride out to Two Jack Lake, I was nagging him when he would ask and he was playing dumb and hadn’t thought about it. I make this poor man bush whack to find a good fishing spot and as I’m in the water casting, he’s telling me to change my lure….I didn’t listen since I wanted to catch a fish first but he kept insisting so I finally came to shore and was changing my lure completely ignoring him and he says “why don’t you try this one” and he was on one knee.”
It’s rare to get all of the most important people in your lives in the same room, let alone on a holiday. What better way to ring in the New Year, then with your friends and family, a unique moment to cherish forever!
I think there is just something so magical about a New Years Eve wedding. A few reasons why I love a New Years Eve wedding:
It was an honour to be part of your special day, Maddison and Emilio.
