Ontario Engagement Session

I’m so happy I was able to photograph Joanna and Matt last time I was back home in Ontario. They picked a wonderful location a the botanical gardens. We were able to schedule the shoot to enjoy some of the bright daylight but also capture some photos at my all time favourite time of day – golden hour. If you’ve read my previous posts you’ll know I love this time of day and try to shoot it as often as possible. Read on to see why I love it so much!

A few reasons why I love golden hour photos:

• The warm hues of golden hour creates a dreamy atmosphere in photos.
• The gentle, diffused light during sunset adds a soft and romantic quality to images.
• The contrasting shadows and backlit subjects during golden hour creates dramatic and captivating silhouettes, adding to the dreamy aesthetic.
• The low angle of the sun during the golden hour creates long shadows and adds depth to the scene, contributing to the dreamy and captivating feel of the photos.
